Volunteer Opportunities

 

Our annual event relies on our dedicated volunteers. We couldn’t put on the conference without you, and this year is no different. If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer for the 2020 Southeastern Bath & Body Conference, please contact Chloe with the subject line “I Want To Volunteer!”

All volunteers receive the following…

  • Our Eternal Gratitude

  • One Extra Raffle Ticket

  • One Make-and-Take Ticket Pack

  • Extra Goodies and Samples from Surplus Donations

The following volunteer positions are available. In your email, please indicate your top two preferred volunteer positions. We’ll try to accommodate those preferences if at all possible. If you don’t have a preference, please indicate that in your email as well.

  • Soap Swap Organizer (1)

    • Responsibilities include Organizing the soap swap participant groups, contacting each soap swap participant to inform them of their group, and setting up the soap swap table at the conference.

    • This individual must be available on April 4th, 2020 during registration from 10:00am - 11:00am to collect items and on April 4th, 2020 at the end of the day at 5:30pm to handle the disbursement of items.

  • Door Prize Assistant (1)

    • Responsibilities include assisting one of the conference directors with calling out door prize winners and assisting those winners in collecting their prizes.

    • This individual must be available on April 5th, 2020 at 3:40pm during door prize announcements.

  • Vendor Relations (1)

    • Responsibilities include making sure our vendors know where their tables are, helping vendors with their set-up if needed, and checking on our vendors during breaks to see if they need anything.

    • This individual must be available on April 4th from 8:00am - 5:00pm and April 5th from 8:00am - 5:00pm to help out our vendors as needed. The bulk of your assistance will be needed during our scheduled conference breaks.

  • Speaker Relations (1)

    • Responsibilities include making sure our speakers have everything they need before their presentation begins, helping speakers with their tech set-up if needed, passing out examples or handouts, and checking on our speakers after their presentations to see if any follow up is required.

    • This individual must be available on April 4th from 8:00am - 5:00pm and April 5th from 8:00am - 5:00pm to help out our speakers as needed. The bulk of your assistance will be needed during our scheduled conference breaks.

  • Saturday Set-Up Crew (2)

    • Responsibilities include helping set up the conference room and get things in order before attendees begin arriving.

    • These individuals must be available to volunteer from 8:00am - 10:00am on Saturday, April 4th.

  • Saturday Registration (3)

    • Responsibilities include checking in attendees as they arrive, giving them each a goody bag and event program, passing out raffle tickets, and helping attendees find their name tags. 

    • These individuals must be available from 9:00am - 11:00am on April 4th, 2020.

  • Sunday Lunch Crew (1)

    • Responsibilities include passing out pre-packaged lunches and helping to keep the lunch station organized.

    • This individual must be available from 12:30pm - 1:00pm on Sunday, April 5th.

  • Sunday Take-Down Crew (3)

    • Responsibilities include helping clear the room at the end of the day, collecting any items left behind, and assisting organizers with any post-event clean up. You may need to help speakers/organizers take supplies to their vehicles, so the ability to lift is required.

    • These individuals must be available to volunteer from 3:45pm - 4:45pm on Sunday, April 5th.
